Review Visit: September 19th, 2014 A whirlwind of a visit. The day before, day of, and the day after visiting Gebby's was the most whirlwind of times in 2014 for me. This breakfast was on the day before my cousin's wedding. It was a mad dash to get some grub, set up the VFW for a wedding and also rehearse the wedding. Andy, my cousin, raved so much about Gebby's that we decided to come here on wishes of the groom. The interesting thing about Gebby's is that it's two restaurants in one building. While that might not be weird on its own, the fact that Gebby's is the breakfast side of things and Schooner's is the lunch/dinner side. After deciding to go to Gebby's, we got most of the wedding group crammed in a few cars and headed there. Once we got there, we had to wait a few minutes for enough tables to empty so they could push them together for our large group. But, it was a short wait considering there being about 10 of us. The jumbo table was ready for us. My cousin suggested a few things to try out and I ended up getting their biscuits and gravy with a side eggs and bacon. Due to the sheer amount of food ordered, it did take awhile for it to come out. That is to be expected but the overall wait wasn't that long at all. When our waitress set our food down in front of us, I nearly died of laughter. My side of eggs and bacon was arranged in a smiley face. I hadn't even taken a bite yet and I was already loving this place. It's little touches like this that let you know that you are in for a treat. I can thankfully say that the food had that touch as well. Each bite had that taste as if grandma made it. I remember wanting a second round but that was out of the question for this wedding group. We had things to do and places to go. If you are in the Peoria area and are needing some good breakfast during breakfast hours, Gebby's won't leave you disappointed... unless you get there too late and only Schooner's is open.

We really enjoyed stopping into Gebby's for breakfast. Our server was excellent. She was very attentive to our needs and kept the coffee cups full. Breakfast was very good and I like that they offer oatmeal with your breakfast.

Down home diner food for a good price! I came here for breakfast on a Monday morning. This place is hopping every morning! It is a small diner with good food. I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy. I also ordered a side of hash-browns. The full order of biscuits and gravy comes with 2 biscuits cut in half and smothered in gravy. The hash-browns are a good portion. The hash-browns were cooked to perfection! Crispy outside and moist soft potatoes on the inside. All of my food was delicious!

This place in my hometown is so good. It never disappoints. I feel badly for not taking any photos, that's how fast I ate the food and enjoyed my company. Their grits are some of the best ever! Mini of the employees have worked there for over 20 years. So they obviously treat their employees very well. Service is always top-notch and coffee is nonstop. A great breakfast place.

4.5 out of 5 stars. Came in on a Sunday morning and place was packed. Ordered the biscuits and gravy, hash browns, a d bacon, and friend ordered the Denver omelette with bacon and a half order of biscuits and gravy. Biscuits and gravy were good, hot, and plentiful. Biscuits were soft and fluffy. Hash browns were good, and golden brown, with a nice crisp to them. The bacon was excellent!! Crispy and great tasting with no fat! (Only problem was it ca.e out lukewarm.) Service was friendly and efficient and the manager/owner made the rounds and was clearly wanting everyone to be happy. Prices were also excellent and with the good service, definitely will come back next time I'm in town. Also worth noting, when we left there was a small wait, however the kitchen ran efficiently and even if there is a wait, it will never be long and you'll be happy you stayed.
